Bill Malloy is an investor, operator, and builder focused on engineering-driven software, investment platforms, and philanthropies addressing longevity and cancer across the full human life cycle. His work sits at the intersection of technology, capital, and long-term impact, with a particular emphasis on partnering closely with founders and technical teams.
Bill is a co-founder of Sway Capital, where he leads software investments, provides hands-on operational support, and helps connect strategic ecosystems across the U.S. and EMEA. Over the course of his career, he has served on boards and co-led investments in a range of technology and fintech companies, including Affinity, Fetch Robotics, LiveAction, Zanbato, Uber, Twilio, Lyft, SendGrid, and Addepar. In parallel, Bill is President and a board member of Malloy and Company, a single-family office focused on long-term capital stewardship, innovation, and positive community and environmental impact. Through this work, he has led initiatives spanning global real estate investing, private markets, and multi-generational family governance and planning.
Bill began his venture career at Draper Fisher Jurvetson (Zone Ventures), where he worked closely with portfolio companies on strategy, operations, and financial structuring while sourcing investments between Silicon Valley and Southern California. Earlier in his career, he was an operator in product, engineering, and business development roles at Listen.com (acquired by RealNetworks) and MusicMatch (acquired by Yahoo).
Beyond investing, Bill is deeply engaged in philanthropy. He serves the Malloy Foundation, co-founded the PEERS Network, and previously served as a board member and treasurer of the Equinox Center, supporting organizations focused on health, longevity, and community resilience.
Bill holds an MBA from the University of Southern California, a B.S. in Engineering from Clemson University, and completed coursework in Computer Science at Stanford University.
