Bret Awbrey oversees the day-to-day financial operations as well as the long range financial planning.

Prior to joining Sway Ventures, Bret has worked in multiple industries, having operational and financial leadership roles in healthcare technology, consulting, defense, and logistics firms. Bret has held leadership positions at companies such as Interpreta, Accumen (acquired by Arsenal Capital Partners), and best in class companies such as Raytheon and UPS.

Bret holds an M.B.A. from the Sloan School of Management at MIT. He also earned an M.S. in Engineering Systems from MIT where he was an LGO Fellow. Bret graduated from the University of Southern California with a B.S. in Industrial Engineering and was an All-American and captain of the swimming and diving teams.
