Thalia Gietzen has over three decades of professional experience, beginning her career in public accounting at Grant Thornton in Los Angeles, where she spent 4 ½ years and obtained her CPA license, which she continues to maintain. She transitioned from public accounting to the telecom sector before ultimately moving into the cybersecurity industry.
Ms. Gietzen spent 15 years in cybersecurity, including a significant tenure as the CFO of an international cybersecurity company. She was instrumental in consolidating multiple acquisitions, securing $30M in private equity funding, and ensuring compliance with various financial reporting standards, including US GAAP, IFRS, and PCAOB audits. She also played a key role in working with the TSX and SEC on IPOs.
Thalia Gietzen has been married for over 32 years and has five adult, successful children. She is actively involved with her church and has dedicated the past 20+ years leading a group that provides hundreds of shoeboxes each year to children in underserved areas of Mexico during the holidays.
